On November 7-8, 2019, The Cannata Report, an intelligence resource for business technology and imaging solutions resellers, hosted its 34th Annual Awards & Charities Dinner to raise funds for Tackle Kids Cancer at Hackensack Meridian Health and 4th Annual Women Influencers Brunch in Morristown, New Jersey.

These events bring together equipment manufacturers, software providers, independent dealers and industry analysts.

The awards ceremony recognizes Industry Leaders as voted in a survey by the independent dealer community.  It is always nice to see some of our partners win these awards.  This year, our Finance partner, GreatAmerica Financial Services, was named Best Leasing Company, one of our Equipment Manufacturer partners, Sharp, was named Best in Class Manufacturer, and Top Male Executive honors went to Sharp's Mike Marusic.

Why should a customer care if their Office Equipment Independent Dealer participates in industry events?

  1. There is a tremendous amount of disruption, innovation and consolidation occurring in this industry.  It is important to keep a finger on the pulse and to be ahead of the curve rather than chasing from behind.  This makes all the difference in being able to provide value for customers.
  2. These events provide networking opportunities with other independent dealers.  If your business grows and needs devices and service in other markets, first-hand relationships with other independent dealers are critical to negotiating not just price but response and repair times.   These relationships are so important, also, to learning about new best practices or opportunities which help us to continue providing customer service excellence.
  3. Building and maintaining personal relationships with partners is invaluable.  As with any partnership, the more people you know deeper and wider in the organization, the more quickly you can get information and results.
